Dear Mr. Irons:

Thank you for the extraordinary job you and your employees have done in the restoration work here at the York County Courthouse in Alfred. As you know, the Courthouse has quite an extensive historical background. It was originally built in 1807 and a fire in 1933 destroyed a large portion of the building that had to be re-built. Much of the original 1807 building is still in use today.

Your company began renovations on the courthouse in September of 2008. The extensive work performed by you included trim painting, complete brick pointing and cleaning, and other repairs. The work also included the replacement of a large amount of copper flashing, replacing ledge flashing that had deteriorated causing water to enter the building. You also undertook some extensive repair of our granite front porch and replaced much of the concrete walkway as well. As you know, we are very sensitive about the work performed on this special place so we are especially pleased with your extensive knowledge of historical buildings. Your attention to detail was not lost on us either.

We constantly receive wonderful comments from the many folks who pass through the doors of this very busy York County Courthouse. Thank you again for a tremendous job!
